The Michigan Humane Society will hold one of the largest pet vaccination events in its 135-year history on Saturday, April 21, at the Second Ebenezer Church in Detroit.
The event is planned because of a $10,000 grant from the American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals.
Vaccinations against distemper, parvovirus, rabies and other deadly diseases will be available for free for up to 2,000 dogs and cats.
MHS will be offering the following vaccinations at this event:

The event is free for all pet owners and no proof of low or fixed income is necessary. All dogs and cats must be on leashes or in appropriate carriers, and attending pets should be comfortable with being around other animals.
