One of the best FREE things I utilize most is the library. Since our city's library closes for weeks at a time during their remodel, we've been hitting up other local libraries and our city's library card gets us books and videos at all of them!

I don't normally like "writing how-to" books, but King's On Writing is really great. Some practical advice, but also a nice glimpse into the creative process.
